The temple transducer enhances communication and safety by not impairing the user's hearing of external sound environment, such as from machinery and equipment, warning, and fire alarms, the intercom, traffic and even casual conversations with the public or co-workers. Also a good option for hearing impaired. Motorola RMN5114 Lightweight headset converts audio into sound vibration and transmits into the inner ear. The RMN5114 uses a discrete, lightweight and streamlined "ear loop" that rests comfortably against the head, providing the bone conduction technology. The sound vibration is transmitted through the surrounding human tissue and bone directly into the inner ear where it is received by the user. Unlike conventional headsets, the RMN5114 temple transducer allows the user's ears to be uncovered and completely free to hear normal sounds, while still using a two way radio. An in-line push-to-talk button and microphone frees the user from holding the radio while communicating. Compatible with all Motorola CLS, DLR, RDX, RM, and DTR series business radios.
